Billie Sue Bishop Cox, 63, of Christiansburg, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry William Cox, and her father, James Howard Bishop. Survivors include her son, Shawn Patrick Cox; daughters, Brandi Golden Booth and husband, Jeff and Casey Reese Meador Jones and wife Laurie; grandchildren, Lakin Golden Cox-Smith, Breanna Nicole Smith, David James William Smith, Ashley Jones, Cory Jones and Kayleigh Jones; her mother, Sally Tolbert Bishop; sisters; Becky Johnson, Bea Bishop and Bobbie Simpkins; a brother, Robby Bishop; and multiple nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Deena Spencer for her loving care of Billie. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Mark Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
