Betty Jane Trail Scaggs, 74, of Radford, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014. She worked for many years as a cook at St. Albans Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harless William Scaggs, parents, Jason and Hattie Trail, and 6 siblings. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carrie Scaggs of Radford, and Glenn and Lynn Scaggs of Shawsville; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Roy Duncan of NC; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Freddy and Mildred; and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. William Ratcliffe officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
