Betty Gay Walton Nester, 75, of Radford, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013. She was born in Odd, WV, the daughter of the late Coy O. Walton Sr. and Jiney Blevins Walton. She was a faithful member of Belspring United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ronald C. Nester; daughters, Faith N. Bentley of Radford and Tammy N. Powell of Hampton; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Kim Nester of Radford; grandchildren, Cory Bentley and his wife Kristin, Billy Ray Powell, Brooke Nester and Sierra Powell; brothers, Coy Walton, Jr. of Roanoke, Harold Walton of Woodbridge, and Jerry Walton of Troutville; and sisters, Dorolis Addair of Fredricksburg, and Joyce Garletts of Morgantown, WV. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Ginny Tompkins and Dr. Jonathon Webster officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Belspring UM Church Memorial Fund, PO Box 190, Belspring, VA 24058.
