Obituary

Betty Sarver Long, 69, of Dublin, was surrounded by family when she was called to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents Belvia and Earl Sarver; her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Long; and granddaughter, Jodi Boland. She was a dedicated Walgreens employee for 15 years.

Betty was a beloved mother to her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Amber Long of Radford, Kenny and Tristen Long of Dublin, and Bruce and Drema Sarver of Belspring. She will be missed deeply by her brothers, Jim Sarver, and Jack (Melinda) Sarver; and her sisters, Joyce (Eddie) Farmer and Mary (Tex) Hall. She will also be missed by her longtime partner Danny Whitlock. Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren Hunter, Tyler, Aubrey, Noah, Kayla and Hannah; and great grandchild Atticus; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to the kind souls at Gentiva Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tony Hart officiating. Interment will follow in Brown Cemetery in Belspring.
