Betty Jean Viar Brown, 63, of Dublin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Ruby Clyburn Viar; sister, Barbara Dickson; and niece Melanie. She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked for over 30 years in nursing. Survivors include her son, Joshua Brown of Dublin; sister, Delores Viar Brewer of Galax; brother, Everett "Buster" Viar, Jr. of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Jimmy Dickson of Fries; 3 nieces, Tasha and Shanta Dickson and Koresha Viar. Funeral services will be held at11a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. David Scott officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
