Betty L. Brooks, 87, of Radford, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017. She attended First Baptist Church and retired security manager for the Dept. of Defense at the Radford AAP. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Walker and Malita Caves Linkous. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, James Clyde Brooks; siblings, Howard (Deana) Linkous of Bristol, Sharone L. Shelton of Christiansburg, and Charles Linkous of Radford; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Dr. Paul Lane officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. Donations may be made in her memory to First Baptist Church, 215 Third Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
