Barbara Jean Shanklin Duncan, 68, of Radford, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012. She was a member of The Presbyterian Church of Radford and retired from Poly-Scientific in Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Everett, Sr., and Ruth Shannon Shanklin and her brother Edward E. Shanklin, Jr. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Kim and Steve Wade; grandchildren, Jackson Lewis and Shannon Kathleen Wade; aunt Irene S. Wise of Roanoke; uncle Eugene Shannon and his wife Thelma of Charlotte, NC; and numerous cousins. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 7:00 pm at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. David Dickerson officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 5:00 pm at the funeral home. The Duncan family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
