Arthur Henry Duarte, 80, of Christiansburg, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020. He was Retired USAF and retired postmaster of the Christiansburg Post Office. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of the late Rodolfo Duarte and Refugio Dela Rosa. He was also preceded in death by his son, Arthur Duarte, Jr.; and brothers, Rudolph and Ernest Duarte. Survivors include his wife, Lori Duarte; sons, Michael, Daniel and Andrew Duarte; daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and George Connaghan; 3 granddaughters, Aubrey, Amber and Nevaeh; sister, Delia Romero; and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.
