Anne Peterson Chrisman, 88, of Radford, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a retired telephone operator with 35 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Crockett Chrisman on November 9, 2009. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and Anne Chrisman of Radford, and David and Jennifer Chrisman of Sandston; five grandchildren, Rev. Timothy Chrisman, Dr. Micah Chrisman, Taylor Chrisman, Preston Chrisman and Parker Chrisman; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Emily Chrisman; two sisters and brother-in-law, Martha and Charlie Ward and Louise Osborne, both of Dublin; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the nurses, CNAs, staff, and her extended family for the past 7 years at Radford Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Paul Lane, Rev. Kent Taylor and Rev. Timothy Chrisman officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 pm until 7 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 215 Third Avenue, Radford, VA 24141 or the Alzheimers Associations, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
