Almetia Colleen Flinchum Simpkins, 86, of Radford, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018. She was retired from Radford Community Hospital as a LPN and was also lead nurse for both plants of Pulaski Furniture. She was a member of Snowville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Audrey and Lillie Flinchum, and her brother, Ellis Darl Flinchum. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Erby Simpkins of Radford; sons, Douglas C. Simpkins of Hiwassee and Kirk Anthony Simpkins of Radford; brother, Rickey Flinchum of Pulaski; sisters, Verily Simpkins of Hiwassee, Claudell Owens of Fairlawn, Vivian Marshall and Vickie Moles, both of Hiwassee; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Rev. Neil Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
