Aileen Barton Howell, 80 of Radford, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006. She was a member of the Radford Christian Church. She was born July 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Earl and Dessie Covey Barton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bernard Thomas Tom and Karol Howell of Radford; a granddaughter, Amy Heinline of Christiansburg; a great-granddaughter, Alayna Heinline of Christiansburg; a sister, Edrie Bishop of Pulaski; and a brother, Harold Barton of Jonesville. The family would like to thank the staff of Wheatland Hills in Radford and the Gentle Shepherd Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion they have shown. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 7, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Radford Christian Church, 1300 Second Street, Radford, VA 24141. The Howell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.
