Addie Snell Slaughter, 90, of Radford, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Leewood Health Care Center in Annadale. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert L. Slaughter, daughter, Carol Moseley, two sons, Charles Wesley Armstrong and Frederick Douglas Armstrong, and her parents, Haynes and Etta Snell. Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Rita and Curtis Tolliver, and Shirley Turner, all of Radford; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 11 am at the First Baptist Church on Rock Road with Rev. C. Coles Casey officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm Monday evening at the church. The Slaughter family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
